Initially it was referenced in the TV show Friends, which is assumed to have started in November 1994 when Friends had it's first Thanksgiving special. Friendsgiving is a concept that resurfaced in 2011 as a result of a Bailey's advertising campaign. What is Friendsgiving? In a nut shell it's the celebration of Thanksgiving before or in the place of a more conventional Thanksgiving that is traditionally shared with close and immediate family members.
