What Do I Drink With My Turkey? The Perfect Beers For Your Meal!

Figuring out the perfect drink to pair with your meal is a critical decision. The drink should be refreshing, but not too filling that you cannot stomach seconds (or thirds, for that matter). Its flavor should add to the meal, but also not completely overpower the tastes and smells of the meal. It is a truly complex balancing act. Luckily for you, Too Soon Saloon is your guide for ensuring you make the right choice in what to pair with your turkey and gravy!

A turkey prepared "traditional-style" has a few excellent beer pairings to offer. To maximize taste, we suggest you find yourself a nice Amber Ale or Brown Ale. Other delicious choices could include an Oktoberfest-inspired beer or a variety of Golden Ales. In any case, it is tough to go wrong here!

If you are the type of chef who likes to smoke their turkey, fear not! You too have a number of different satisfying drink options to pair with your bird! We recommend a Brown Ale, preferably one that is a bit more on the hoppy side! A nice Porter or Scotch Ale might also pair with smoked turkey quite nicely!

But not everybody is a turkey person! If ham is a bit more to your liking, you have a variety of different choices, as well. To drink with your ham, we might suggest a nice Weizen or Wiezenbock, perhaps a Dubbel or a Dark Lager as well! These will each serve as a nice complement to the taste of the ham, and should leave everyone satisfied!

Lastly, but certainly not least, you have the dessert: delicious pumpkin pie! Perfect complements for your pie include Spiced Ale, a Winter Warmer, or a wonderful Old Ale. Because no wonderful dessert is truly complete without a refreshing beverage to wash it down!

Keep in mind that these are not rules to be followed! These are simply suggestions, and certainly are interchangeable depending on your preference in beer!
